I am very impressed with the Canon T2i and would recommend for family photographers with some experience of photography, high school or college students interested in photography, or simply as a measure of the cheapest point / shoot cameras and single.
Pros:
-Easy to use controls and functions
Automatic settings are very good for those who want a simple configuration, and the manual is great for people looking to experience
Large built-in flash
-A large, bright LCD screen
Very small form factor for what it offers
He feels and looks more professional, but do not feel D7
-I like the camera that detects when your eye to the viewfinder and automatically turn off the LCD
He can take pictures using the LCD
A very good idea to quickly continued for at least
-Option to save in RAW or JPEG (or both! Feature Supreme)
Conflict:
Photo-slowly and continuously from the high-end camera, but good for the average user
"It's too hard
-Battery life is very limited, we suggest you bring more (eg D60 battery offers twice the images at the same resolution and size of the battery)
However, the general low-level DSLR, but it is not meant for good (which offers more features, a wide selection of lenses, and a smaller and lighter than a DSLR) and I would I recommend to anyone who wants just a cheap shot point and without the complexity and SLR is another cost.
If it is too expensive or too complicated for you, I highly recommend the Canon SX30IS. This is a good cheap camera with lots of features and huge zoom.
I have it and you like the Canon T2i (Rebel XSi is not very appealing to me), an excellent camera for the size and cost. Canon T1i T2i very similar and only to a small step. Look closely at the details of the Canon T1, T2 and T3 before choosing.
I also have a D60. This is the next step T2i past. It is slightly larger, heavier, and feels more cruel than the Canon T2i, but very similar in many respects. T3i features very similar to the D60, but then I would go to the D60.
Recommended accessories:
Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Aspherical IF Macro Lens II VC LD for Canon Zoom, from all parts of the lens
F/1.8-II Canon EF 50mm lens, large aperture lenses cheap
Canon EOS Macro Extension Tube Kit for September Fotodiox Extreme Close-up, the effect of attractive and inexpensive
